C-Miller AKA C-Murder Has Requested A New Trial In Lousiana On His 2nd Degree Murder Case
C-Murder’s second-degree murder conviction was reinstated last year and now New Orleans rapper C-Miller is requesting that a new trial be heard by the Louisiana Supreme Court.
In early 2002, Corey Miller, a member of the group TRU, was arrested and charged with killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas with a single gun shot to the chest during a dispute in Harvey, Louisiana.
C-Miller’s legal team requested a new trial after key witnesses criminal records were with held by the prosectution.
Two of the three judges in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal panel disagreed, stating the key witnesses’ testimony wouldn’t be relevant because “there was an abundance of other evidence which fully established Miller’s guilt.”
C-Murder faces a mandatory life sentence in prison.
