Update: Remy Ma Posts Bail, Declares Innocence
After returning from Riker’s Island and posting 250,000 bail Rap Diva Remy Ma has declared her innocence in relation to attempted murder charges stemming from a verbal altercation and shooting in New York’s Meat Packing District.
Remy’s Past won’t help her situation according to her close friend and rap associate Sunkiss who told sohh.com, “She’s very focused at the situation. She wants it to just go away. It’s going to take a lot of money and praying. I mean sh*t, she had priors - the judge is going to take all of that into consideration.” After several Violent altercations on record from the 90’s Remy’s Record doen’t look good. The bronx rapper will faced trial by media and court and has a well documented short temper.
Remy was released Sunday night after posting bail and plead not guilty to attempted murder, weapons possession and first-degree assault. The victim, her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph, claims that Remy accused her of stealing cash in the vicinity of $2-3000 before shooting her in the stomach. Concrete details are yet to emerge on the scenario in which Remy also crashed her navy blue Cadalac Escalade.
